Bach was from a creative family of musicians, teachers, composers, and church organists. He composed one thousand, one hundred and twenty-eight pieces of music, and an additional twenty-three were either unfinished or lost.

Sarabande: 3rd movement from French Suite No.5 in G major. A Sarabande had its origins in Spain where it was considered rather louche, but it evolved into a slow, courtly dance in 3-time.
