Notes about this work: Le Coucou, from the Third book of Keyboard Pieces. Daquin was a brilliant organist and harpsichord player, and performed for King Louis XIV when he was 6 years old, later becoming organist to Louis XV. He was also a renowned improviser. Le Coucou evokes a very happy cuckoo in late springtime. Arranged as a duet for 2 very nimble Clarinets.
